Restorative Tooth Extractions
Advances in dental treatment have reduced the necessity for tooth extraction especially when caused by broken, cracked or extensively decayed teeth. As long as the tooth is accessible and it does not impact any surrounding teeth, less traumatic measures can normally be taken. In the event, however, that you are suffering from problematic wisdom teeth, acute tooth decay, or teeth damaged beyond restoration, tooth extraction may be necessary to avoid downstream problems.

For simple extractions (e.g., a tooth broken through the gum line), we can often apply a local anesthetic while rocking the tooth back and forth until it’s loose enough to remove. In other cases, the tooth may require treatment of the nerve space in order to make a repair. Root canal treatments may address this problem. In the event, however, that a tooth has so much decay that it puts the surrounding teeth and jaw at risk of infection, removal of the tooth may be required.
If this is the case and root canal treatment cannot be performed, our staff will safely remove the tooth while preparing the necessary restoration work that ensures a proper bite and keeps neighboring teeth from shifting. One remedy may be a dental implant, which essentially fills the gap with a prosthetic tooth.
No matter how severe the problem, our staff is prepared to remove the teeth quickly and painlessly. An advantage of our service is that pain relief, diagnosis, extraction and restoration are all handled under one roof. As a result, you benefit from one-stop healthcare, full accountability and fast results.
